For all of yall who haven’t heard Trey Songz new album Ready yall are really missing out. Songz Ready has the potential to take his music career to new heights. The album is consistent throughout with songs for every mood imaginable. The release of the second single off the album “LOL ” has given the album a well needed boost. Tracks like “Jupiter Love” and “Neighbors Know My Name” just to name a few give the listener that classic “In the middle” feel. The ladies will definitely love the album so fellas you better be READY !

The buzz in the entertainment world this week was definitely the wedding of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. For all that speculated that the relationship was a publicity stunt I guess you were wrong. The wedding was full of celebs including Kobe and Vanessa, Lala Vasquez, Gary Payton, Baron Davis, and many more. We will see how long this last!


The month of October will bring the release of the Jordan 12 Rising Sun. Jordan Connoisseurs like me are really waiting on the release of the Jordan 11 Space Jams in December but the Rising Suns should be able to hold us over until then. The Rising Suns are due to be released this month but no date has been announced. The shoe will be a limited release and will run about $150.

This week I also had the opportunity to catch a glance of the new HTC Hero. The HTC Hero is the Sprint version of the T-Mobile G2 Touch. The HTC Hero is perfect for those who value the ability to customize their phone. The HTC Hero will introduce the Android software and will definitely be a hit in the technology world. The HTC Hero is set to be released October 11th 2009.


Last week the media released a video of the beating death of a 17 year old honor student from Chicago. Yesterday charges were filed against four of the suspects in the murder. The murder of this student was witnessed by at least 20 others. The tragic death of this student has sparked outrage throughout the country including in the hip hop community. Statements from both Nas and Bow Wow were released on the incident. Both artist condemn this senseless act of violence and call on the black community to put an end to violent acts like this.
